Kenneth Edward Bender

Kenneth Edward Bender, 77, of Travelers Rest, SC passed suddenly in his home on September 20, 2022. He is survived by his brother Donald Bender of NJ; his sister in law Gladys Everett; Chuck Sloan and family; his step-son Allan Williams (Greta); step-son David Williams (Melinda); step-grandchildren David Williams, Helena Williams, Autumn Williams, Nicole Poston (Kevin), Nathan Neal; step-great-grandchildren Rowan Williams, Mason Poston, and Avery Poston; and his two nieces.

Kenneth was a kind-hearted man who truly never met a stranger. He made friends with ease everywhere that he went. Kenneth had an eclectic taste and a love for life. He loved fireworks, flea markets, bluegrass, and Reba McEntire. He amassed quite a record collection over the years that was his pride and joy. Kenneth also had a passion for vintage automobiles. He especially loved his 1961 convertible Meteor.

Kenneth treasured his family and his friendships. He loved sharing a good meal with loved ones, and he was always the last one left at the table, savoring every bite and every conversation. Gatherings won’t quite be the same without him, but the empty chair at the table will undoubtedly evoke fond memories of his presence.
