Kathleen Elizabeth Young Griffin

Kathleen Elizabeth Young Griffin, 98, of Greenville, SC passed away on March 14, 2022. Born in Clyde, NC, on June 30, 1923, her parents were Lofer McGowan Young and Ida Palestine Farmer Young. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, Henry Earle Griffin, sons Donald Earl Griffin and Randall Mack Griffin. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy E. Griffin (Paul Daniel Carter, Jr.).
She leaves behind seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Prior to her declining health, Kathleen was an active member of Berea Friendship United Methodist Church. A lifelong seamstress and quilter, she enjoyed years of fellowship among her fellow quilters in the BFUMC Quilters.
A memorial service will be held at Berea Friendship United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 3:00pm, 8001 White Horse Rd., Greenville, SC 29617.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Berea Friendship United Church Quilters.
