Kathleen "Kathie" Louise Owen

Kathleen Louise Owen, affectionately known as Kathie, passed away at her home in Greenville, SC, on February 13, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on November 15, 1953, in Riverhead, NY, Kathie was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Kathie was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Kenneth Owen, and a loving mother to her three daughters, Darlene Burns, Stacy Enebtawi, and Lisa Blackstock. Her family was the centerpiece of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Kathie's warmth and nurturing spirit extended to her siblings, Teresa Branciforte, Amanda Brown, Regina Aragon, Rene Copenhaver, Chris Copenhaver, Jody Copenhaver Michael Valenti, and Karen Cohen. She was predeceased by her brothers, Denny, Joey, Jarrod, and Jason Copenhaver, and her sister, Gailanne Copenhaver. Kathie's role as a grandmother was one she embraced with joy and pride, doting on her grandchildren, Noah and Adam Enebtawi, Jonah, Stephen, and Cheryline (Sissy) with boundless love and affection.

Throughout her life, Kathie dedicated herself to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home where laughter and love were always abundant. 

Kathie's interests reflected her love for the simple pleasures in life. She found joy in the company of her dog, Molly, who was a constant and loyal companion. Kathie also had a passion for home renovation shows, which inspired her to bring beauty and comfort into her own home. Her creativity and eye for design were evident in every corner of the living space she curated with care.

Above all, Kathie will be remembered for the love she poured into her family and the kindness she showed to others. Her thoughtful gestures, whether a comforting word or a helping hand, made a lasting impact on those around her. Kathie's legacy is one of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness—a testament to the wonderful person she was.

As we say goodbye to Kathie, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of cherished moments and enduring relationships. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of the beauty of a life lived with an open heart. Kathie's spirit will forever be a part of the lives she touched, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
