Katherine Ergle

Katherine Ergle, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away at her home in Taylors, SC, on January 29, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on July 11, 1938, in Maloneton, KY, she was a woman whose warmth and friendliness touched all who knew her.

Katherine's life was a tapestry of deep family connections and dedicated professional service. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rex Martin, and her second husband, Alan Ergle, both of whom shared precious years of companionship with her. The legacy of her loving family also includes her daughter, Teresa Mevinski, and son-in-law, Kenneth Mevinski, as well as her brothers, Roy Elmer Hardyman, Harry Hardyman, and James Hardyman, who all passed before her. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Kilty Hardyman, and a cherished assembly of 22 nieces and nephews, whose lives she enriched with her affection and support.

Professionally, Katherine was the office manager at a testing facility, where she was known for her efficiency and attention to detail. Her colleagues respected her for her work ethic and her ability to manage the office with both professionalism and a personal touch that made everyone feel valued.

Katherine's interests were a reflection of her love for home and family. She was an excellent seamstress, often creating beautiful garments and decorations that added a special touch to her family's lives. Her skill at ironing was unmatched, a testament to her meticulous nature and her desire to care for her loved ones in every possible way.
