Karl Pedersen

Karl Pedersen, 86, of Greenwood, SC went to be with the Lord on March 18th while his daughter was by his side. He was born in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Karl and Marie Pedersen.
His beloved wife, Barbara passed in January 2021. He leaves behind 4 children, Katherine Hawkes and her spouse, Paul, of Greenwood, SC; Karl Jr. and his partner, Prescilla Muise Malcom of Pittston, Maine; John and his spouse, Bonnie, of Whitefield, Maine; and Ronald of Whitefield, Maine. He had 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
He is also survived by 1 brother, David Pedersen, and his wife, Lucy of Gray, Maine.
Karl spent his youth on Casco Bay and the many islands off the coast of Portland. He also spent many wonderful years on Forest Lake in Gray, Maine where he lived prior to moving to Greenwood. He enjoyed boating and spent so much time with her wife cruising Casco Bay on their beloved ‘Fan-Sea’.
He was a former police officer in the Portland Police Department and spent many years managing several body shops for car dealers in the Portland area. He also owned 3 gas stations and was an excellent mechanic and body shop repairman, and scuba diver. He had a great love for snowmobiling and took many trips with friends.
