K Peter Grogan of Greenville, SC died at his home on March 26, 2021. He was the husband of Lynn Grogan, the son of Joan Gates Grogan and the late Kline Grogan, the Dad of Zach Grogan and his wife Natasha, the P-Pop to Lydia and Gavin, the Brother to Clark (Shirley), Patrick, and Beth (Tom) Walsh, and a Friend to many. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, humility, kindness, compassion, and humor. Pete was born on September 19, 1950 in Utica, New York and spent his formative years in Roanoke, Virginia. He graduated from Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. He had a successful career that mimicked his personal life, always treasuring the personal relationships along the way. Pete will long be remembered for his ability to make others recognize their value and importance, and his ability to show acceptance of others and to receive the grace and compassion of others. Lastly, all who knew Pete will remember that he most loved to share laughter.
A Memorial Service will be at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2619 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29605, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 10:30am. The family will greet guests following the service in the gathering area. We will be following health guidelines, wearing masks and social distancing. The service will be live streamed to the St. Michael Lutheran Church Facebook page for those who wish to join virtually.
