On Saturday, July 30, 2022, June Patricia Leach, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 92. June was born June 25, 1930, on the island of St. Vincent in the Caribbean. June was the fourth of twelve children born to Lloyd and Eveline McConnie. She immigrated to Canada and trained as a bookkeeper. On August 14, 1954, she married Othniel A. Leach. They immigrated to the United States in 1968 and raised two daughters, Lynda Laura and Lora Lee. June went on to become a preschool teacher. All her life, June loved caring for children, her younger siblings, nieces, nephews, and eventually her own children and grandchildren. She was easy to talk to and anyone she cared about whether friend, neighbor, or coworker, became family. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was known for her generosity and hospitality. Later in life, her greatest joy was spending time with her four grandchildren, Sydney Hannah Braun, Nolan Thomas Clark, Peyton Elizabeth Clark, and Noah Tyler Braun. June was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, her grandchildren, her sisters, Allison Kirton, Vera Cole, and Agnes Niccolls; and her brothers, Larry McConnie and Keith McConnie.
