Julius D. Coleman, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away on December 7, 2024. Born on May 9, 1982, Julius's life was a testament to the joy and warmth he brought into the world. His infectious smile and boundless humor were his hallmarks, touching the lives of all who knew him.
Julius was a cherished son to June I. Coleman of Columbus, Ohio, and a beloved brother to Paul A. Coleman and his wife, Paula L. Coleman, of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was a proud father to his adored daughter, Julieah'na Rivera, who was the apple of his eye. His grandmother, Katherine M. Young of Greenville, South Carolina, will fondly remember Julius for the special moments they shared. Julius was also a treasured nephew to his aunts and uncles, Thomas L. Young, Steve Young, Jacqueline Aiken, Angela L. Aiken, and William May, and many from the Coleman, Young, May, and Aiken side of the family. His numerous nieces and nephews will miss their fun-loving uncle, who always knew how to make them smile.
A graduate of Greenville High School, Julius was a spirited athlete who excelled in soccer and football, demonstrating not only his physical prowess but also his dedication and team spirit. He carried these qualities into his studies at Morehouse College in Atlanta, where he furthered his education and prepared for a future that was as bright as his personality.
Julius's love for his family and friends was the cornerstone of his life. He was the person who could light up a room with his presence and leave a lasting impression on everyone he met. His laughter was contagious, and his ability to find joy in the simplest of things was an inspiration to us all.
Those who knew Julius would describe him as loving and funny—a man who embraced life with open arms and who cherished every moment with those he held dear. He had the rare gift of making each person he encountered feel special and valued, a quality that endeared him to many and ensured that his memory would live on in the hearts of those he touched.
As we say goodbye to Julius D. Coleman, we celebrate a life lived with passion and kindness. He was a shining example of how to love unconditionally and laugh wholeheartedly. His spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 2 PM, with a visitation starting at 1 PM, at the Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611.
