Juanita Alene Owen

Juanita Alene Owen, going by "Juana" most of her 71 years, left earth from Golden Living Care Facility in Hendersonville, NC for eternity in Heaven on February 4, 2017. She was born in Ft. Eustis, VA, April 25, 1945, at a Naval Hospital where her father, Harold Owen was stationed with her mother, Julia A. Owen, both of whom have already gone to Heaven. She has two sisters, Sondia married to John Swartz and Shelia married to Dennis Potts, until he too went to Heaven in August, 2017. Juana will be missed by them and their children,Elisabeth (Jesse) Keck with Michaela,Jeremiah and Shiloh of Greenville, SC; Lydia (Brian) Kane with Mia, Sophia, Hugh, Jackson, Julia, Brianna and Natalia Kane of Cambodia; Seth (Angela) Swartz with Samarra, Tahlia and Hadassah of Colorado Springs, CO; Summer (Jeremy) Nigh with Owen, Lincoln and Remington of Greer, SC; Thomas Potts of the Philippines; and Julia (Amza) Valle also of the Philippines. She loved having her nieces and nephews and especially the grand-nieces and grand-nephews come for visits to go out to eat and play at the park. She also will be missed by “Aunt” Susan Worthington and her family, especially Georgie. She is survived by two aunts and one uncle plus numerous cousins. She benefited from the excellent care and kind attention of many nurses and CNAs for several years.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Enon Baptist Church, 1875 Enon Road in Salisbury, NC, on Friday, Feb.10, 2017, at 1 PM for fellowship before the service at 2 PM, officiated by Pastor Ken Clark. Interment will be at the church's cemetery, immediately after the service.
