Joyce was the beloved daughter of the late Willy and Cannie Galloway. She was the cherished sister of Joann Levine and the late Mary Hogsed. Joyce was the devoted mother to her daughter Cheryl Jones Tripp, and the doting grandmother to her grandson William "Evan" Tripp. She was also the loving mother-in-law to the late Lester Price Tripp. Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth in her three nephews, Mike Hogsed, Eric Levine, and Christopher Levine.

Joyce's extended family, Barbara, Vicki, and Lucy, along with her many close and dear friends, held a special place in her heart. Her love and kindness knew no bounds, and she was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need.

Joyce was a proud graduate of Greenville General Hospital, where she earned her Nursing Degree. She dedicated her professional life to the noble profession of nursing, where she touched countless lives with her compassionate care and warm demeanor. As a Registered Nurse, Joyce was not only a caregiver but also a confidante and friend to her patients.
