Joyce Patricia Arnold

Joyce Patricia Arnold, at the age of 66, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away on October 1,
2022, after a long-fought battle with rheumatoid arthritis.
Joyce was born on February 21st, 1956 to Richard and Ruth Arnold in Rochester, New
York. After graduating from MCC, she went on to have a long career running the
medical records department at the Rochester Psychiatric Center.
After retiring in 2000 she came to live in sunny South Carolina and became very active
within the Advent United Methodist Church.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Ruth Arnold; her aunt, Lois Schloss
(husband Richard) and her sister Judith Beach. Joyce is survived by her brother, Jim
Arnold and his wife Helen; her cousins, Mary Torres (husband Joe and children Joshua,
Jeremiah, and Jesse); Ann Marie Vinette and Michael Schloss; her niece, Denise LaJuett
(husband Patrick and children Julia and Lucas); niece, Dawn Arnold; her brother in law,
Russell Beach; her nephew, Scott Beach (wife Kate and their children Caden and
Callum); her niece, Karen Tanner (husband John and their children, Shawna (husband
Tyler, children Hendrix, Pierce, and Rory), Kyle, Christian, Jagger, Trace and Asher).
Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 says; "There is a time for everything and a season for every activity
under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to
uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to build and a time to tear down and a
time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance."
We are comforted in the knowledge that Joyce is in her new, perfect body and dancing
in Heaven, no longer restricted by the constraints of the disease that she so valiantly
lived with for 60+ years.
A memorial service will be held at Advent United Methodist Church, 2258 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville,
SC 29681 on October 15th, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
