Joshua "Josh" Eugene Quinney, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away on December 25, 2024, in Anderson County, SC. Born on October 8, 1975, in Anderson County, SC, Josh's life was a testament to the love and joy he brought to those around him.

Josh attended Liberty High School in Liberty, SC and Sprayberry High School in Marietta, GA, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a love for learning. He carried the values of hard work and dedication throughout his life, which were evident in his meticulous work and the neatness he brought to every task.

He was predeceased by his loving parents, William H. Quinney Sr. and Shelby J. Wyatt Quinney O'Shaughnessy and brother-in-law Roger Aiken. Josh is survived by his siblings, Gary O. Quinney and wife Nan of Mountain Home, AR, Norman C. Quinney and wife Donna of Piedmont, SC, William H. Quinney Jr. "Billy" and husband Ron of Savannah, GA, James T. "Jimmy" Quinney of Piedmont, SC, and Johnny A. Quinney of Greenville, SC. Alice Quinney Aiken of Simpsonville, SC, also share in the family's loss. Josh's legacy continues through his beloved sons, Zachary Morris Betts of Jasper, GA, Joshua Paul Quinney of Cartersville, GA, and Cameron William Quinney of Cartersville, GA, who were his greatest accomplishments.

Josh was known for his loving nature, his creative spirit, and his wonderful sense of humor. He had a passion for the outdoors, often found fishing or camping, and he was an excellent cook. His love for music was profound, with Jack Johnson and John Mayer providing the soundtrack for many cherished memories. A lifelong fan of the Carolina Gamecocks, Georgia Bulldogs, and Atlanta Braves, Josh's enthusiasm for his teams was infectious.

A great worker, Josh took pride in everything he did, whether it was restoring old furniture, crafting with pallets, or enjoying his mother's biscuits. His love for sweet tea, Little Debbie Cakes, and his mother's meatloaf was well-known among his family and friends. Josh's interests were diverse, including a love for movies, shooting guns, and staying busy. He had a special place in his heart for dining out at Shoney's and was always on the move, creating and fixing things with his hands.

As we say goodbye to Joshua Eugene Quinney, we celebrate a life lived with passion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Josh's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he left behind.

Josh's life was a beautiful journey that touched many hearts. We take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide and watch over us, just as he did in life. Rest in peace, dear Josh, until we meet again.
