Joseph James “ Grampa Joe “ Mihalchick, Jr., 52, of Greer, South Carolina passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 21, 2018 in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on May 30, 1966 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to his loving parents, Joseph James Mihalchick, Sr. and Ethel Marie (Becker) Mihalchick, he lived in the upstate for the last twelve years and he worked as a sales and service representative for Pitney - Bowes and most recently for Penske Truck leasing in Greer. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Joe will be remembered by his family for his laid back personality and his kindness toward others. Joe enjoyed riding his bicycle throughout the area, walking his dog, Maddox and spending time with his family.

Those who will most cherish Joe’s memory are his wife of 27 years, Cynthia Mihalchick of Greer, South Carolina; his daughters, Molly Mihalchick of Greer, South Carolina and Kelsey Mihalchick of Greer; his son, Colby Mihalchick and his wife, Jessica and their daughter, Lillian of Simpsonville, South Carolina; his parents, Joe and Ethel Mihalchick of Greer, South. Carolina; his loving sister, Natalie Mihalchick and her wife, Patti Suppe of West Haven, Connecticut; his best friend, Rick Clark of East Haven, Connecticut.

A gathering of Joe’s family and friends for a time of reflection and sharing will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in the Chapel of the Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611.
