Joseph "Joe" Mason, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on December 2, 1958, in Norfolk, VA, Joe's warmth, humor, and wisdom touched the lives of all who knew him.

Joe is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Haggerty, his loving wife, Robyn Mason, and their blended family, which was the center of his world. His legacy lives on through his children, Christina (Jerry) Plummer, Mary Scott, Joey (Lois Fuller) Mason, Danielle (Robert) Stephens, and stepson Tyler Beilke. 

He was predeceased by his father and stepmother, Joseph and Diane Mason, his stepfather James Haggerty and his stepson Dylan Beilke. Joe's joy was multiplied by his grandchildren, Marcus Frisch, Jerry (Taylor) Michael Plummer III, Jordan (Livia) Scott, Hunter Scott, Chloie Mason, Isaac Mason, Isabella Mason, Bentley Mason, Jakob Beilke, Hayden Beilke, Lainey Williams, Norah Williams, Kennedy Stephens, Brady Stephens, and his great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Plummer, Raelynn Plummer, LJ Plummer, and River Scott. Joe also leaves behind a loving circle of siblings, Susan (Milton) Self, Dominic (Cheryl) Mason, James (Melissa) Mason, Elizabeth (Ellwood) Dewitt, James (Erin) Haggerty, Ann Currin, Susan Haggerty, and Ray Haggerty, who will miss his presence dearly. 

After completing college, Joe poured his intelligence and handy nature into his lifelong passion, Masons Home Improvement, a business he owned and operated with pride. His work not only showcased his craftsmanship but also his dedication to service and community. Joe's colleagues and clients respected him for his integrity and the mentorship he provided to many in the industry.

Those who knew Joe will remember him for his quick wit and his ability to bring laughter to any room. His intelligence was evident in his problem-solving skills, whether he was navigating complex business challenges or fixing something around the house. Joe's hands were rarely still, as he was always working on a project or lending a hand to someone in need.Joe's life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and humor. He approached every day with a sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact. His guidance and love have left an indelible mark on his family, who will continue to honor his memory by living out the values he instilled in them.

As we say goodbye to Joe, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that brought joy and inspiration to others. His stories, jokes, and the wisdom he shared will continue to resonate with all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

A private service will be held to honor Joe's life, where family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate the man who made every day brighter. Joe's spirit, love, and kind nature will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved. 

A Memorial Service will be held on January 17th at 1pm in Westville Chapel
