Joseph Michael " Joe " Gorecki

Joseph Michael “ Joe “ Gorecki passed on December 7, 2018 at his residence. He was 55 years old. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Marie Scolan-Gorecki; his children - Michelle Izaguirre, Christian Izaguirre; his only grandchild, Megan Pascale; his mother, Helen Gorecki; 3 sisters, Pat Roman, Linda Medina, Gail King; brothers - Eddie Gorecki and his wife, Pat; nephews - E. J. Roman and his wife, Indeara, and great grandniece, Priya; great nephews, William Roman, Eddie Gorecki Jr.; great nephew - Joe Panico; nieces - Suzanne Dobres, Kimberly Panico, Ashley Gorecki and great niece - Alissa Panico; also the “brothers” from Jersey City Heights; and our extended family, the Vernons – Wayne, Sue, Kerah (Bump), John, Will, Geneva, Jimmy, Tommy and Martha; as well as our beloved friend, Alice Wandell.

Joe was born in Jersey City, NJ and attended Dickenson High School. He served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He then went on to work at Christ Hospital as a security guard for 5 years before moving to Gray Court, SC in 2004 with his beloved wife. Joe loved to garden, listen to music, play pool, swim, hang out with his “Vernon brothers” and visit his nephew and family in Georgia and New Jersey.
