Joni Lynn McLane, 64, of 325 Hampton Avenue, died Sunday, April 3rd, 2022.
Born in Greenville she was the daughter of the late Dr. Robert Charles McLane and Lila Charles McLane.
She was a 1984 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in painting and printmaking.
A talented Graphic Design and Animation Designer, Joni created graphics for on-air broadcasts of National Cable News Network, Nightly Sports Show and CNN Newsroom Program from 1988 to 1992 in Atlanta, GA.
From 1993 to 2007 Joni created promotional and collateral materials for on-air broadcast, internet, and print for National and International clientele such as CNN, Coca-Cola, Headline-News, HGTV, The Weather Channel, VOOM, and others.
Joni established Y1080, a Limited Liability Company, early in her career and continued to serve clientele in Greenville, South Carolina, including The Greenville News, from 2011 to retirement in 2019.
Joni will be remembered as a talented artist, a passionate and caring mother, a gifted gardener, a contributing member of The Hamptons Owners Association (HOA), and an animal lover. She will be missed by her three dogs Nyx (M.J.), Frank, and Valentine.
She was a member of Downtown Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Greta McLane Cordova and partner Sara Eaton; her siblings Jan Clark and Husband, Larry of Powdersville, Juli Woods and Husband, Mac of Greenville, and Erin Carpin of Greenville; Her Nieces and Nephews, Benjamin Greene, Hannah Tribble, Jessica McCormac, Meghan Coley, Adam Pitts, Jacob Robertson, Zachary Taylor, and Gabriel Taylor.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 in Woodlawn Memorial Park, with Reverend Thomas Raines officiating.
