Jonathan Glen Osborne, known as “Johnny” to family and “J.D.” to close friends, passed away on September 14, 2023, in Simpsonville, South Carolina. He was born on October 13, 1972, in Bluefield, West Virginia. Johnny had a loving, funny, friendly, and playful personality that endeared him to everyone he met.
Johnny's life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service on September 24, 2023. The service will take place at Midview Baptist Church located at 703 Margrace Rd in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. The service will begin at 15:00 (3:00 pm) and conclude at 16:30 (4:30 pm). This gathering of family and friends will be an opportunity to mourn his passing and cherish the memories he left behind.
Born to Brenda Jean Chandler Osborne and Larry Edward Osborne, Johnny grew up surrounded by love. He shared a special bond with his sister Tammy and older brother Kevin. The Osborne family provided a tight nit environment that allowed Johnny’s vibrant personality and humor to shine through.
Johnny had a profound impact on those around him but none more so than his son Zachary Glenn Osborne. Their bond was unbreakable and filled with love that will forever remain in Zachary's heart.
Johnny's sister Tammy Osborne Watts and her husband Lester Watts shared many adventures through the years and gave their support and encouragement when times were tough. His nephews Shane Watts and Chandler Watts, along with his nieces Nichole Watts, Sarah Watts, and Marah Rose created cherished memories that will be forever treasured.
Johnny brought joy and laughter into the lives of all who knew him. His infectious sense of humor could brighten even the darkest of days. Friends sought out his company because spending time with J.D. meant countless hours of laughter and unforgettable moments.
Beyond his warm-hearted nature, Johnny possessed an adventurous spirit that never ceased to bring excitement to those around him. Whether racing dirt bikes in the woods or playing sports on a field, Johnny loved the outdoors and all that comes with it. Johnny also had a special place in his heart for dogs, and animals in general.
Johnny's love for life was contagious. He spread positivity wherever he went and always had a kind word or gesture for those who crossed his path. He valued friendship and invested time and effort into building strong bonds that would last a lifetime.
