Jonathan James Harris

Jonathan James "Johnny" Harris, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023, at the age of 61, in his hometown of Greenville, SC, where he was also born on May 11, 1962. Johnny's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, kindness, and gentle strength, qualities that he embodied fully and imparted to everyone around him.

Johnny spent his professional life as a roofer, a job that may have been demanding but was also a source of pride and accomplishment for him. While he took great satisfaction in his work, Johnny often said his true achievements were not the roofs he built but the love and joy he found in his grandchildren, Khloe Fay Harris and Winter Noella Harris. His family was the center of his world, and he was a devoted husband to his wife, Angela Delaine Vines Harris, and a loving father to his children, Patricia Deborah Ann Harris, Austin James Harris, and Jonathan Ray Harris.

Johnny was the steadfast brother to Ronnie Dale Harris and was preceded in death by his brothers Walter Eugene Harris and Ricky Leonard Harris. He was also the cherished son of the late Ruth Patricia Harris and John Walter Harris Jr. The bonds of family were deeply important to Johnny, and he nurtured those ties with every ounce of his being.
