Jonathan Donald

September 23, 1990 — July 6, 2022

Jonathan Donald, affectionately known as "Yump," was a beacon of light in this world, radiating love, kindness, and thoughtfulness in every interaction. Born on September 23, 1990, in Greenville, SC, he embarked on a journey that would inspire many and leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered. Yump's journey on this earth concluded on July 6, 2022, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created.

Yump was the beloved son of Phyllis Gregory and Darron Copeland, a cherished brother to Kartrica Gregory, Kenneth Beverly, and Amunn, and a devoted father to Bre asia Gregory and Sa mylan Donald. His family circle extended to his loving Aunt Louise Grady, Uncle Ben Grady, Uncle Gregory, and his cousin Tonnette Myers. He was also a favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews: Queensynee Beverly, Que Beverly, Quinton Beverly, S.R., Genesis, Marcus Kennedy, Kari, and Kingston Gregory. Each family member held a special place in Yump's heart, and he in theirs.

A proud graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Yump was a lifelong learner who believed in the power of education. He carried this belief into his professional life, where he excelled as a forklift operator and later as an entrepreneur. His work ethic was unparalleled, and his dedication to his craft was truly inspiring.

Yump's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He was an avid football and basketball fan, often seen cheering on his favorite teams with an infectious enthusiasm. His love for exercise and working out was not just a hobby, but a lifestyle, reflecting his commitment to health and wellness. Music was his soul's language, and he found joy in sharing his favorite tunes with those around him. Above all, Yump cherished spending time with his family and children, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Swimming was another passion of Yump's. The water was his sanctuary, a place where he could find peace and tranquility. His love for swimming was not just about the physical activity, but also about the mental and emotional benefits it brought him. It was a testament to his belief in balance and harmony in all aspects of life.

Yump was a man of many talents and interests, but what truly set him apart was his character. He was loving, kind, and thoughtful, always putting others before himself. His generosity knew no bounds, and his spirit was infectious. He had a way of making everyone feel special and valued, a gift that will be sorely missed.

In the words of a motivational speaker, "The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith." Yump embodied this sentiment, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness that will continue to inspire and motivate those who knew him.

Jonathan "Yump" Donald, your journey on earth may have ended, but your spirit lives on in the hearts of those you touched. Your legacy is a testament to the power of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness. You will be missed, but your light will continue to shine brightly in our memories. Rest in power, Yump.
