John W Zaug

John W. Zaug resided in Anderson, S.C., peacefully passed away at home on December
30, 2021, at the age of 74. Born in Jamaica, Queens, NYC, son of William Zaug and Marcella Zaug. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Diane Zaug, and his sons Daniel J. Zaug, Steve M. Zaug, and
wife Cathryn Zaug, and grandson Nicholas J. Zaug. Also by his brother Alan Zaug and
wife Margaret Zaug. Served with the US Army in Viet Nam and upon returning home, John married Diane
Schneider and settled on Long Island, N.Y. Where John owned multiple Speed Shops and
modified racecar engines for more power and speed. Throughout his life, John had a love
of antique cars lines that he would emulate through his custom car fabrications. John also
had an extensive background and a long career as a first-class robotic engineer.
John as a young man was a lifeguard and loved being around the water. He loved driving
his speed boats and all water sports. He was always ready to help anyone in need out of
the goodness of his heart. He loved nature, enjoyed the beautiful yard that his wife
created with many beautiful flowers.
