John Michael Phillips III

John Michael Phillips III, 74, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on October 15, 2022. He was born in Miami, Florida on October 19, 1947. He was the son of John Michael Phillips II and Virginia Williams. John is survived by his wife, of 17 years, Penny Phillips; three children: John Michael Phillips IV (Jennifer), Julie Hayes (Kevin), and Maureen Hendricks; three grandchildren: Jacob Hayes, John Phillips V, and Caroline Phillips. He is also survived by a brother: Howard Poulson, and a sister: Elaine Wheeler.
In 2015, after Three Million Safe driving miles, John retired from a 27 year career at Wal-Mart. He loved traveling to the Caribbean, being at his lake-house and his Crosswell Baptist Church family.

Visitation will be held on October 22, 2022, from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. followed by memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Crosswell Baptist Church, 219 S. Fishtrap Road., Greenville, SC 29611
