John Franklin Huey

John Franklin Huey, 79, of Chesnee, SC, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2017 at the Lake Emory Post Accute Care Facility in Inman. Born in Enoree, South Carolina, he was the son of Robert Arlee and Thelma Ball Huey. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, John Stephen Huey; his daughter, Teresa Lynn Huey; his grandson,Ted Hatcher, Jr and his brother, Jack Lee Huey and the mother of his children, Barbara Octavia Huey. He will still be loved and missed by his son, Robert Eugene Huey; his daughter, Diane Huey; his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mr. Huey will also be missed by a host of extended family members and friends, too numerous to list.

A longtime supervisor with Hoechst Fibers, he was very active for over 20 years in AA and he chaired the meetings at the East Saint John Street Location. The family will be at their respective homes.

A memorial service to remember and honor Mr. Huey’s life will be from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the AA Building, 349 East Saint John Street, Spartanburg, SC, 29302-1544 .
