John William Callaham

John "Bill" Callaham, a resident of Greenville, SC, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on September 20, 1958, to the late Thelma and William Callaham.

Bill graduated Leto High School in Tampa, FL and dedicated many years of service to Toyota, where his analytical skills shone brightly. His colleagues remember him as a friendly and loving individual always ready with a smile. He loved sharing memories of his youth and wilder days and he was hardworking and always willing to lend a helping hand.

His passion for life was evident in his love for Nascar, WWE Wrestling and country music.  His love for the outdoors was unparalleled, with sunny days often spent at the beach or on the lake, boating and water skiing. Bill's Toyota truck was a familiar sight on these adventure-filled weekends, as were his beloved dogs, who were his constant companions.

Bill is survived by his adoring daughter, Shawni Callaham; his cherished grandchildren, Reylene Smith and Daxton Smith; and his loving sister, Michelle Bailey. He is predeceased by his sisters, Angela Callaham Beals and Brenda Thackston, and his parents, Thelma and William Callaham.

Those who knew him will remember him as a man who embraced life with open arms and loved to be with friends and family swapping stories with anyone who needed it. His legacy is one of kindness, friendship, and a zest for life that inspired everyone around him. His analytical mind often led to deep conversations and his ability to solve problems was admired by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  He was a devoted and loving father which was his greatest pride in his life 

Bill's life was a testament to the power of joy, camaraderie, and love. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we celebrate the memories he leaves behind and the impact he made on the lives of so many. Bill Callaham will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to race on in the hearts of his loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 23rd, at 2pm at 4530 Highway 29 N, Belton, SC, 29627.
