Joel Luke Blackwell
June 14, 1947 — March 20, 2015
Joel “Jody” Luke Blackwell, 67, of Greenville, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 with his loving wife and daughters by his side. He was the son of the late James and Ruby Blackwell.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Hood Blackwell, daughter Chantelle and Mark Paxton, daughter Beth and Greg Brownlee, grandchildren Killian, Drayton and Hayes Paxton, and grandpup Sterling Brownlee and a brother Timothy Blackwell and his wife Jacki.
For those who knew Jody he was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a “man’s man” who would have done anything for anyone, a man who lived life to the fullest and who will be forever missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Chapel at 6010 White Horse Road.
In lieu of flowers, please donate blood at the American Red Cross or the Blood Connection in Greenville.
