Joan Pyle, 82, formerly of Stuart, FL passed away Dec. 24th after a long battle with cancer.

She was born in New Jersey and moved to Stuart during high school. She graduated from Stuart High School in 1951, she was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. Once here children were of school age, she worked for many years as an office manager for Dr. Duane Stemle, she was also a realtor.

She is survived by her four children, Karen (Walt) Shaughnessy, Kathie Eger, Kim Perkins, and Kirk (Laura) Eger; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; her longtime friend and companion Hank Lyon; as well as a nephew, Ron (Yvette) Marley. She was predeceased by her brother, Jack Marley.

At Mom’s request, no services will be held, but her ashes will be interred at sea.
