Joan Edwards Bridges

Joan Edwards Bridges, a native of Jupiter, NC and a resident Greenville, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 24^th, 2024, at the age of 78.

Joan was the daughter of the late Fletcher and Georgia Anderson Edwards.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Edwards, and Robert (Bobby) Edwards.  She was also predeceased in death by her children Jammie Bridges (8 yrs.), Herbie Bridges (19 yrs.), and grandson Cameron Lee Bridges (21 yrs.).

She is survived by her sisters, Alma (Donald) Rice, and Josephine Edwards.  Three children also survive her.  Barbara Ann (Wayne) Worley, Terry Bridges, David (Rosanna) Bridges, and special Daughter’s in-law Connie (David) Bergquist and Connea (Brian) Moore.  Special cousin Patrica Gail Hensley and many beloved nieces and nephews. 

“Mamaw” Joan loved spending time with her grandchildren: Christina (Stephen) Bayne, Christopher (Jennifer) Worley, Emily Sunshine Hahn, Alexander Bridges, Julia Morgan (Austin) Ray.  She also felt very blessed for the time she had with her great-grandchildren: Gaara, Akina, Jase, Faithlyn, Penelope, Payton, Maverick James, Acheron. 

The family will be at the home of Wayne and Barbara Worley of Greenville, SC.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to be made to The Church of Jesus Christ (208 W Marshall St, PO Box 21, Argos, IN, 46501) or The Muscular Dystrophy Association.
