Jimmy Burl Calloway, affectionately known as "Ted" by his loved ones, was born on February 12, 1945, in the sunny state of Florida. His life journey concluded in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 19, 2023. Ted was a man best described as friendly, courageous, and adventurous.

Ted was father to seven children, his daughters Angela Bellflower, Bunnie Calloway, and Annett Scott, married to Gordon Scott, and his sons Jimmy, Jonathan, Todd, and T.J. Calloway.

Ted's educational journey culminated in high school, where he was known for his friendly demeanor and adventurous spirit. He was always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.

Following his education, Ted embarked on a career as a roofer. His work was more than just a means to an end; it was a testament to his courage and determination. Despite the physical demands of his job, Ted always approached his work with a smile, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients.

Outside of work, Ted was an avid fisherman. His love for fishing was not just about the thrill of the catch; it was about the serenity he found in nature. He often recounted tales of his fishing adventures, his stories filled with excitement and a sense of wonder that was infectious.

In his passing, we remember Ted not just for his accomplishments but for the man he was - a father, a dedicated roofer, an enthusiastic fisherman, and a cherished friend. His adventurous spirit and friendly demeanor will be missed by all who knew him.
