Jimmy Carl Barton

Jimmy Carl Barton went to be with Jesus peacefully on Wednesday November 9, 2016 from his home in Pelzer, SC at the age of 69.

Jimmy is survived by his spouse, Tammy Gail Barton of the home. One brother Michael (Gail) Barton, two sisters: Sheila (Danny) Howard, Susan (Keith) Lindsey. Two daughters; Paige (Chuck) Heaton and Hope Barton. One Son, Marcus (Chassity) Dean. Seven grandhildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was pre-deceased by one son ,Jimmy Chad Barton, and one daughter Andrea Michelle Dean. Two brothers Timothy Robert Barton and Barry Jay Barton, One granddaughter Courtlinn Jade Dean.

Jimmy was born January 4, 1947 in Greenville, SC to James Cleveland Barton and Anne Nell King Barton. He was a retired Master Electrician, and a Viet Nam veteran.

He was passionate about life and his country and never met a stranger. He had a heart of gold and was the kindest man you would ever meet. He loved his family dearly. He was a long time member of New Life Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. The family is gathering at his home 295 Garrison Rd, Pelzer, SC 29669

A celebration of his life is planned for Monday November 14, 2016 . The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1pm on Monday at New Life Baptist Church 2690 Blue ridge Drive, Greenville, SC 29611. Service will immediately follow visitation.

Interment to follow the service at Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery 140 Inman drive, Anderson, SC 29621 with full military honors.
