Mr. Jimmie Lee Geter, Sr. was entrusted to the late Robert and Luchanie Geter on February 1, 1952, in Woodbine, Georgia. He was called home on November 17, 2022, at 6:30 am. Jimmie was a jack of trades and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a master landscaper, fisher, and crabber. Those that knew Jimmie knew he was a dance machine; he loved to have fun and help others.
Jimmie received his formal education through the public school system of Camden County and was a proud 1971 graduate of Camden County High School, where his class was the first to integrate. Upon receiving his diploma, he left to serve his country where he served 4 years in the US Navy as a Boatswain's Mate. After faithfully serving his country, he returned home where he pursued his hobbies of landscaping, gardening, fishing, and crabbing. On September 25, 2022, Jimmie joined Ever Green Missionary Baptist
Church Mr. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Luchanie Geter, one sister, and four brothers. There are many mourning the transition of Mr. Jimmie Lee Geter, Sr. Among those left to cherish his fondest memories are his children Jimmie Geter, Jr. (Richelle) of Fort Worth, Texas, Mary Geter of Columbia, South Carolina, and Matthew Geter (Jahniqwa) of Ramstein, Germany. Four (4) sisters: Cherrie (John) Bradley, Lucille (Arthur) Dawson, Vivian (Wilbert) Mathis, Ann Drummond
Two (2) grandchildren: Tre 'Maun and Legaci Geter A host of niece's nephews loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
