Jessica Rene Stepp was born on May 22, 1996, in Greenville South Carolina to Kris Stepp and Adrienne Staton Stepp who predeceased Jessica. Jessica fought many battles for many years with addiction but was freed on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, she was twenty-three years old. Jessica's big smile and laughter were infectious and people were drawn to her magnetic personality. If you knew Jessica you loved her. Jessica loved music of all kinds, she loved fishing and was a very talented athlete in school. Jessica was a lover of all animals and often as a little girl she would pick the company of an animal over most people. Jessica was humble, loving, and always wanted you to know how she felt about you, that she loved you and appreciated you. Jessica will be greatly missed by so many.
Jessica is survived by two sisters, Jade Fortner (Cody Fortner) and Mackenly Stepp, three brothers, Tylor Stepp and predeceased brothers, Malachi and Kane Stepp and one niece, Addison Ruth Fortner, Jessica also leaves behind her step-mother, Rose Stepp and maternal grandparents, Linda Staton and Wade Staton who predeceased her, paternal grandparents, Barbara Stepp and Mark and Sharon Stepp. Jessica has 4 aunts and many beloved cousins and close friends.
The family will honor Jessica's memory by holding a private Celebration of her life. Anyone else wishing to honor Jessica may do so by making a donation in her name to the Phoenix Center or Greenville Animal Care.
