Jerry Kefalas

Jerry Kefalas, 85, passed peacefully at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home on Tuesday, March 11, 2015.  Jerry was the son of the late John S. Kefalas and Evangeline Kefalas.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Joyce Cannon Kefalas.
Jerry was a retired Lt. Col. from the US Air Force.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  Jerry was awarded three Bronze Star medals and other commendations for distinguished service.
Surviving Jerry are his son, John 'Scott' Kefalas (Kathy) of Thomasville, GA; and daughter, Karen J. Singleton (Alan) of Simpsonville, SC; and his sister, Eva Ponos of Wilmington, NC.  He also had five grandchildren, Christina, Kevin, Sarah Nelle, Eric, and Leah.
A memorial service will be held at Advent United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 15th at 3 PM.  Burial service with military honors will be held at 10 AM, Monday, March 16th at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr., Anderson, SC.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Patriot Healthcare Services, 54 Bear Dr., Greenville, SC 29605.  Cremation Society of SC is serving the Kefalas family.
