Jennifer Michelle Simmons-Shock

Jennifer Michelle Simmons Shock, age 44, of Pickens, passed away Tuesday, September 1, at Greenville Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Jennifer is survived by her parents, Violet Kelley Simmons & Clarence Simmons, Jr of the home.
Also surviving are 1 sister, Cindy (Wes) Harris of Six Mile and 4 brothers, Johnny (Rose) Simmons &  Joe (Lisa) Simmons of Pickens and Tim & Brian Simmons of the home. She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jennifer was a former home health care nurse, having also worked at several nursing facilities. She was a certified CNA & phlebotomist.

No formal services are planned at this time.  The family is at the home of her parents at 145 Lillian Lane, Pickens, SC, 29671.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of Greenville Memorial Hospital ICU & 5-C as well as North Greenville Hospital LTAC facility for their love and care of Jennifer for the last 18 months. They really made an unbearable situation much more bearable for our family.

Donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to Shriners Hospital for Children, an organization that was dear to Jennifer's heart.
