Jean Voet, 83, of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, passed from this life into the presence of her savior on Friday, July 28, 2017 in Greenville, South Carolina following an extended illness. Jean was born on September 8, 1933 in Crenshaw, Pennsylvania to her parents. Jean was a Beloved sister in Christ, wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, crocheting and crafts and service to God. Jean was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour in Greenville, South Carolina.
Those who will treasure Jean’s memory most are her beloved husband, whom she married on May 17, 1953, Darwin Alton Voet of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; her children, Chris Voet (Lynde) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mark Voet (Laura) of Wilton Manors, Florida, Gary Voet (Kendra) of Lake Worth, Florida, Kai Gallops (Henry) of Gainesville, Florida and Mim Voet (Nancy) of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; her extended children, Tom Coleman (Pam) of Wadley, Georgia, Mark Cerniglia of Columbia, South Carolina and Paul Anderson (Sherry) of Taylors, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Katherine Voet, Grant Voet, Ashley Voet, Tyler Voet, Kirstin Case, Christopher Voet and Justin Voet; her extended grandson, Alejandro Mejia of the Country of Colombia; her goddaughter, Karly Gallops of Orlando, Florida and her great granddaughter, Alexia Voet.
A memorial service to remember and honor Jean’s life will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 2600 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville, South Carolina, 29615.
