Jean Elizabeth Cesaro nee Bufalo passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020. Jean was kind, caring, and compassionate, always willing to help someone in need. She encouraged people to nourish their creativity and follow their dreams as she tried to do so herself.
Jean was born in New York City and spent the first half of her life in the metropolitan area. She was very passionate about all forms of art. She loved spending a day in a museum or hanging out with the Beatniks listening to poetry in Washington Square. Jean painted and sculpted throughout her adult life and spent a year in Vienna, Austria, studying sculpture, before moving to Greenville, South Carolina. She worked at the Greenville County Library in the audio visual department until she retired in 2001. Classic movies, opera, and music were passions of hers and she found great joy working with the patrons of the library.
Jean is survived by her three children, daughter Lynn C. Lacy and her husband James; son Patrick W. Cesaro and his wife Angela; and daughter Jeanine C. Garrett. She also has five grandchildren, Angela Lynn Stark and her husband Jason, Lindsey Kossowsky and her husband Jake, Joseph Cesaro and his wife Jaimee, Daniel Cesaro and Abby Garrett and three great grandchildren, Gunnar, Isla and Summer Kossowsky.
Jean touched many lives with her loving spirit and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
