It is with sincere love and fond memories that we announce the passing of Jason Kyle Svendsen. Born in St. Louis Park, MN, on May 29, 1990, Jason was known for his kind soul and boundless optimism. He departed from this life on January 6, 2025, in Greer, SC, leaving behind a legacy of love and selflessness.
Jason was the cherished son of Diane and John Svendsen and the adored brother of Amanda. His warm spirit was nurtured by the loving presence of his maternal grandmother Alice LaCoursiere, and late grandparents who preceded him, Merle LaCoursiere, John P. Svendsen, and Maxine Svendsen. His extended family included his uncle Scott LaCoursiere (Jeanne), aunt Sue Hooper (Lynn), as well as aunt Peggy Palmby, and he was warmly remembered by his late aunt Judy McGowan (Daryl), and many adoring cousins.
After graduating from Wayzata High School, he obtained his Associate's Degree from South Central College of Mankato. Jason embraced his talents as a CAD Designer in product development. His proficiency with CAD software, 3D product prototyping, and testing made him an invaluable asset to his field. Jason's work was more than a job; he took pride in every design, especially when collaborating with his father on groundbreaking projects.
Jason’s passions extended far beyond his profession. He relished outdoor adventures—whether it was biking, camping, boating, or fishing. His pride and joy included his car and using his skills in 3D printing to create unique gifts for those he cared about. Most of all, Jason loved spending time with his friends and engaging in heartwarming family gatherings, and always made time for his sister and our family on our camping trips. We will treasure those family outings with his humorous perspectives.
With a heart that always looked out for others, Jason moved through life with the kind of selfless nature that left indelible impressions on those fortunate enough to know him. His unwavering optimism and generous spirit will be deeply missed, yet his memory will continue to brighten the lives of all he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. The family will release details as they become available.
