Jared Franseen

Jared Michael Franseen, age 34, of Greenville SC, went home to be with Jesus, his Creator and Loving Father, on August 8th, 2020. Jared was born on Jan 5, 1986 in Greenville, SC, to Thomas and Christine Franseen, who are still living, and was their 2nd son. He attended Wade Hampton High School. Although he didn’t graduate, he did obtain his High School Diploma later on. Jared was in construction by trade and for many years installed flooring. His siblings are: Joshua, Jamin, Seth and Kara Franseen. Jared loved to play his guitar and sing. He also loved his nephews and nieces and especially… his daughter, Hailee, who is now 13 years old and lives in Pennsylvania. Over the last several years, Jared, in spite of his struggles, made it very clear that he knew where he was going when he died, because in 2012, he trusted in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and even though we would question him at times (our failure), he was adamant about that fact. We couldn’t see through the ‘haze’ of addiction. He also had a deep love for his family, his girlfriend of 5 years (Sierra Warren) and her 2 children, and his 2 dogs, Achilles and Apollo. Jared was free from drug addiction for 4-5 years after his life-changing 9 months at The Mission House in Port Orchard, WA, (2012-2013) but then somehow entered the struggle again, and that is why, on August the 8th, God lovingly and gently took Jared home to be with Him forever. We treasure every moment we had with Jared, especially these last 2 weeks, and we know we will see him again because God’s Word is true. Illegal drugs are a blight and curse to our culture and once they have a grip on someone, it is hard for the rest of us to understand the struggle they go through. There will be a Celebration of Life Service this Saturday at 11AM at North Hills Church of Taylors SC. Kevin runs this house and Kevin and Jared were there at the same time back in 2012.
