Janice Denise Jenkins, born on April 22, 1970, in Greenville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at Greenville post acute in Greenville on October 15, 2023. Known for her adventurous spirit, courageous character, and spirited personality. She had a deep appreciation for the arts, especially movies and R&B music.
Janice was the beloved daughter of James R. Smith and Almeda Jenkins. Her bond with her parents was one of mutual respect. She shared a close relationship with her favorite Aunts Linda Jenkins and Frankie Babb.
She was a mother to her daughter, Shania Jenkins. She was also a loving grandmother to her granddaughters, Shakyla Fields, Kylie Burnside, and Journey Jenkins, and grandsons, Kentravious Jenkins, Montavious Jenkins, Drayton Fields, and Ta'nas Jenkins.
Janice was predeceased by her son Jamarkeiz D. Jenkins, whose memory she held close to her heart.
Janice's love for Wesley Snipes movies and music was infectious.
Described by those who knew her as adventurous and strong, her independent and courageous spirit was a constant source of inspiration for those around her.
Courageous in every sense of the word, Janice faced life's challenges with strength and determination. She instilled this courage in her family, teaching them to face adversity head-on .
Janice's spirited personality was what set her apart.

Visitation and services will be held on Saturday October 21, 2023, at The Cremation Society of South Carolina/ Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Rd. Greenville, SC 29611. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm with service at 3:00pm
