Jane Fleming Brennecke

February 27, 1932 — December 19, 2022

On Monday, December 19, Jane Fleming Brennecke, 90, of Greenville died at home. Jane was born in Laurens, SC on February 27, 1932 to the late Charles and Edith Fleming. The youngest of three daughters, Jane was a graduate of Laurens High School and Converse College.

Jane was a devoted wife to Dick Brennecke for 65 years. Together, they raised three daughters while living in Charleston, SC, Hickory, NC, and Greenville SC. Jane took care of her family, creating a lovely, happy home, volunteering at church and supporting her girls in all of their activities. She made lasting and deep friendships wherever she lived being in five bridge clubs at one time. She had a fun, happy personality, a pretty smile and great style. Jane was a life-long Presbyterian and a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church for 62 years. She was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels for 30 years and St Francis Bon Secours Hospital for 20 years. Later, she was thrilled to become Gram to her 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Each of them treasured time spent with her. She was happiest when the whole family was together.

Jane leaves behind her loving husband, Dick, of the home; three daughters, Julie Holliday (Brosie) of Pawleys Island, SC, Sally Jordan (Doug) of Greenville SC, and Fran Senn(David) of Newberry, SC; seven grandchildren, Walker Holliday (Emily), Jay Jordan, Mac Senn (Maya), Sally Holliday, Will Senn, Ginny Coates (William), and Sarah Jane Senn; and two great grandchildren, Hunter Holliday and Hazel Holliday, as well as beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Frances Little and Totsy Powell.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Hospice of Laurens County.

In memory of the kind and loving life that Jane lived, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 27 at First Presbyterian Church Chapel with visitation at 10:00 and the service at 11:00.
