Janet Claire Moran, 68, of Greenville, SC went to be with her Savior on Saturday, February 12, 2022, after a long and bravely fought battle with COVID.
Born January 13, 1954, in Somerville, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Corning and Doris Beckett Corning. Jan is survived by her four children, Leslie Bridget Moran and husband Carlos Guerrero of Travelers Rest, Christin Moran Hanson and husband Keith Hanson of Travelers Rest, Susanna Moran Erickson and husband David Erickson of Travelers Rest, and Thomas Patrick Moran of Greenville. Jan is also survived by her five grandchildren, Brayden David Moran, Nayeli Quispe Flores, Rodrigo Quispe Flores, Charlotte Claire Erickson, and Beckett David Erickson; and her beloved sister, Carol Corning Masotta and her brother-in-law John Joseph Masotta of Venice, FL.
In her professional life, Jan worked at the Blood Connection serving as Director of Donor Recruitment for many years, and after retiring she worked at the Greenville County Elections Office.
In her personal life, Jan was an amazing mother, Mimi, and sister. She was a friend, confidant, and mentor to so many. She always had time to listen. She was a faithful prayer warrior and served others well. Her legacy of faith, love, gentleness, kindness, hospitality, and generosity will leave ripples for generations to come.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 18th, 2022 at 1:30 PM at North Hills Church in Taylors. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM–1:30 PM. The family requests that guests wear happy colors to Jan’s celebration. Even though we miss her profoundly, we know she is with her Savior, the greatest lover of her soul, and our hearts are rejoicing for her!
The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 PM at 214 Downs Rd, Greenville SC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jan’s non-profit, Project Kalos.
