James Thurston

James H. Thurston SR.( Big Ben, Big James) 72, of Greenville, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday, July 17th, 2017. Born on September 20th, 1944 in Greenville, S.C. He worked as an Auto paint and body repair technician until he retired. He is survived by former wife and best friend Liddie Thurston and 4 children, James Terry Thurston, Charles (Frankie) Thurston, Jennifer Thurston Rogers and a son from a previous marriage James Thurston JR. Also, Son-in-law John Rogers and Daughter-in-law Donna Stancil Thurston. He has 4 grand children, Amanda Thurston, Seth Thurston, Kassidy and Khloe Rogers and 3 foster grand children. His sister, Margaret Bennett, and nieces and nephews. Also by his beloved dogs. James was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Alma Thurston and Brother George Thurston. Visitation will be held at Westville Funeral home on Friday July 21st 2017 3pm-4pm with services following at 4pm-5pm.
