James Leroy Taylor, III

James Leroy Taylor, III, of Greenville, South Carolina went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2018 at the age of 56. James was born to parents, Faye and James Taylor, Jr. in Greenwood South Carolina. He leaves behind a brother, Jay Taylor and a sister Jayma Hines. He was an uncle to seven nieces and nephews, Emmy, Taylor, Jonathan, Jacob, Zack and Gabe. James married Donna Hamby in 1983 and was an amazing father to two children, Jamie Taylor of Orlando and James Taylor, IV of Greenville. James was a grandfather of seven children, one granddaughter Olivia and six grandsons Bailey, Tristan, Jacob, Aiden, Ethan and Julian. And finally two of James' dearest friends, Curtis Atkins and Marcin Zelma.

James came from a musical family and started playing bass guitar in his early teens. He used his skills to teach others about music. Later in life he mastered the steel guitar and it was his favorite pastime . James loved beautiful music, rescuing animals, his family and the lord. He was an outstanding musician who will be missed dearly by everyone that knew him. To his children, he will always be a legend.
