James Hugh Queen went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully in Greenville SC. On June 12, 2019 at the age of 75. Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Wanda Hunt Queen, son, Scott Allen Queen, daughter, Angela Carol Queen Fernandez, and two grandchildren, Cooper and Carolina Fernandez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henson Hugh Queen and Ruth Elizabeth Clark. Queen. of Asheville, NC.
Jim was born on August 3, 1943 in Asheville, NC. He graduated from Asheville Buncombe Technical Institute and from Western Carolina University. He served as a SeaBee in the United States Navy. After moving to Central Florida, he worked at the Kennedy Space Center on the Apollo Space Program to Include Apollo 11. After changing careers, he was in corporate retail sales for Proctor and Gamble for many years.
A family memorial will be held at Palm Cemetery in Winter Park, Florida in the fall.
