James "Jimmy" Eugene Cohen

January 21, 1959 — March 22, 2022

James “Jimmy” Eugene Cohen, 63, of Greer, succumbed to cancer at the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on March 22, 2022.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Charlotte Chavis Cohen, brother Michael (Judean] Cohen, stepdaughter, Kerrie (Michael) McClain and loving grandchildren, Kaysen, Maddox and Tenley. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Eugene and Nancy Scales Cohen and brother, David Cohen and son, Matthew Cohen.

Jimmy was born January 21, 1959 in Union, SC to Floyd and Nancy Cohen. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from the US Postal Service. Jimmy enjoyed taking his bride, and a cup of Joe, on road trip adventures from the mountains to the sea; photographing coastal sunrises, and camping with the grands. He enjoyed working with the youth at Fairview Baptist Church where he was an active member and deacon.

A special thank you to the people at the Cancer Institute East Side, Greenville, SC for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Hospice & Palliative Care, Palmetto Region, SC.

A memorial service for Jimmy will be held in Greer on Friday, March 25th - 1:00 at Fairview Baptist Church in the ALIVE Ctr., 1300 Locust Hill Road, Greer, SC. Memorial donations may be made to Fairview Baptist Church of Greer ( https://giving.ncsservices.org/App/Giving/ncs-1898 )
