James Otis Harper

James Otis Harper Jr. (Jimmy) passed away on January 20th, 2022. He was the son of the late James Otis and Beatrice Brown Harper. James was predeceased by three sisters, Elizabeth Harper, Ann Harper, and Cherry Vonosdal; and two brothers, John Harper Sr. and Wade Harper.
He is survived by his daughter, Latosha Eades; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Harper, Linda Mathis, Brenda Lewallen, June Gregory (Paul), Lynette Donaldson (Chuck); one brother, Charles Harper (Kathleen); his friend Connie Berry; and two special friends, Wanda Howard and Lynn Kirk.
James lived his life on his own terms, as Sinatra once said “I did it my way”. He was always happy to lend a helping hand and often helped his neighbors with maintaining their yards. He will be greatly missed.
