James Allen Harben

James Allen "Jim" Harben, 75, husband of Donna Harben, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 with family, friends, and his dog, Ike by his side. Jim was the son of the late George and Shirley Harben.
Mr. Harben is survived by his wife Donna Harben; daughters Traci West (Anthony) of White House, TN, and Crystal Taylor of Charlotte, NC; step-son Joseph Carpenter of Easley, SC; three grandchildren; Charles Lontz, Madison and David West; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Lontz; two brothers, Jerry and Ronnie Harben and predeceased by his sister Marsha Fuglesang.
Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Air Traffic Control was his profession and passion for 43 years, working in Atlanta and Charlotte airports. Jim enjoyed traveling, golfing, and good music. His loving and warm spirit will be missed. May his memories be eternal.
Memorial service will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00-12:00 in the Chapel of Rock Springs Baptist Church, Easley, SC, where Jim was a member and proudly served on the C.A.R.E. Out Reach Visitation Team.
