James Clarence Duncan Jr.
April 22, 1942 — August 6, 2021
On August 6th, 2021 our beloved husband, father friend and soldier left this earth to be with our Lord at the age of 79.
James Clarence Duncan, Jr of Anderson, SC was the son of the late James Duncan, Sr and Charlotte Duncan.
Survivors include his wife Glenice Dorothy Duncan, son Lester Weiss, Jr and wife Susan Weiss, son James Wilson Duncan, daughter Glenice Barnwell, and daughter Kimberly Weiss. James is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
James was one of the proudest patriots I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He retired from the National Guard after a 21 year career. He served as Staff Sergeant with Company B 151 Signal Battalion. James loved his country and all of the men he served with.
As an avid horseman, James and his wife spent many miles riding and camping with their fellow horse lovers.
Services for James will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:00AM at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery at 140 Inway Drive, Anderson, SC, 29621. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early.
James asked that in lieu of flowers, you would consider a donation to the ASPCA.
