James “Jimmy” Bowen Cureton

James Bowen Cureton passed away peacefully at Heartland Health Care Center December 21, 2017.
James “Jimmy” was born in Greenville on January 29, 1939 and spent most of his life in Greenville. He enjoyed gardening, writing, and collecting. He was a graduate of Furman University. He spent most of his working life at Walmart garden center.
He is survived by his brother Hugh Cureton(Rosemary), a nephew David Cureton, a niece Carrie Stringer(Tommy), and great nephew Montgomery Stringer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh Bowers Cureton, Sr. and Stella Bowen Cureton, and great nephew Max Stringer.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date. No visitation is planned.
