James David Clark passed away peacefully in Anderson on March 15, 2018, at the age of 63.
Born in Marion, Virginia on April 20, 1954, David was a graduate of Marion Senior High, where he was a standout athlete in football and wrestling. David later went on to become a Dean’s List recipient while earning an associate’s degree from Tri-County Technical College. An award-winning baker, David formerly owned and operated The Cakery & Deli in Anderson.
He will be remembered fondly by his two sons, Christopher (Carolyn) of Columbia and Michael of Anderson, two granddaughters, Callie and Carly Clark, a sister, Donna Simms, of Orlando, Florida, along with many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Clark, and mother, Lettie Clark.
David enjoyed many pastimes, including cooking, fishing, music, and sports. He also showcased his talent as an accomplished painter.
The Clark family would like to thank the teams of doctors and nurses at AnMed Health, St. Francis Hospital, and the Rainey Hospice House.
