A family man, daddy, father figure, and friend has left us. James Wallace Chastain, of Seneca, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. A native of Pickens County, he was the son of the late James Floyd and Blanche Helen Cantrell Chastain. Wallace loved being outdoors, especially deer hunting from his penthouse, or fishing. After retiring from Tom Duncan Pontiac as an automotive technician, he drove a fuel tank truck and most recently worked at Rodney Howard Grading. His family remembers his love, wit, and work ethic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jessie Green and Mary Anders.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Corinne Chastain; daughters, Lorie-Anne Chastain and Karen (Steve) Chastain-Webb; grandchildren, Cole (David) T. Reynolds, Cullon (Brian) R. Chastain, and Claire Webb; great grandson, Nolan R. Sellers; sisters, Evelyn Hawkins, Linda Tate, and Sharon (Roy) Chappell and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 12 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Westville Funerals.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
