James Leroy Bowling Jr.

James Leroy Bowling Jr. of Travelers Rest, SC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 9, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents James Leroy Bowling Sr. and Ethel Mae Satterfield; and his first wife, Sylvia Bowling. James is survived by his wife, Patricia B. Bowling; daughter Tammy Campbell (Ricky); daughter Sherry McConnell (Travis); daughter Angie Collins (Dan); step-daughter Tammy Clark (Ronnie); step-son Donnie Burns; sister Gloria Wells; 10 grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and close friends Bum and Lynn Hester.

James proudly served in the US Army and was a Korean War veteran. Upon completing his service to our nation, James worked for over 30 years with Greenville Water as an inspector.

James loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter at Hester's Hunt Camp, he loved fishing and camping, and was always up for a trip to the auction. He loved his friends, family, and his beloved dog, Rusty.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you consider making memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Foundation in James' name.

James will be buried at Graceland East Memorial Park at a date to be determined later.
